Botox

Botox®

Botox® is a brand name for botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin that blocks messages between muscles and the nerves that control them. The FDA has approved the use of Botox® to treat facial dystonias (spasms), strabismus (crossed eyes) and to soften facial rhytids (wrinkles). The effects of Botox® become apparent 2-5 days after injection and generally last for 4-6 months. The results may be maintained with follow-up treatments.

Botox® is effective treating crow’s feet, forehead creases, frown lines, lines along the bridge of the nose, and wrinkles around the eyes. There are minimal side effects and it can be used in conjunction with dermal fillers. Botox® is administered via small injections in the affected areas. Patients report a slight stinging sensation during the injections. Occasionally, slight bruising may occur at the injection sites. There is no recovery period following Botox treatment and make up may be worn immediately.

If you are ready to look younger, please contact our office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Brandon Cho to discuss if Botox® is a treatment option for you. Call 614-766-2006 today to speak with our staff to schedule your consultation appointment.

Latisse

Latisse®

Latisse® is the only FDA approved treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough eyelashes).  It was created specifically for this purpose after Allergan, its creator, discovered that many glaucoma patients using a prescription eye drop to treat intraocular pressure were developing longer, fuller and darker eyelashes.

Latisse® is a solution that is applied daily to the base of the upper eyelashes, much like mascara.  The first results are evident at approximately four weeks and full growth is reached at approximately 16 weeks. Continued use is required to maintain results.

While the exact mechanism by which Latisse® works is not known, it is believed the eyelash growth cycle is affected by increasing the length of the phase and increasing the number of hairs in the phase.

Latisse® is available only by prescription.  Please contact our office at 614-766-2006 to schedule an appointment to discuss how Latisse® can give you beautiful lashes.

Juvederm

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® is the only FDA approved injectable dermal filler used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles in the face. It also reduces smile lines or creases that occur with age from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds). Juvéderm® adds volume to lips making them appear fuller.

Juvéderm® is composed of hyaluronic acid resulting in a smooth gel consistency. As a result, patients will experience a smoother, more natural look than with other dermal fillers.  It is a minimally invasive procedure with results appearing almost immediately. There is little, if any, recovery time and results can last from six to nine months. Follow-up treatments may be completed to maintain the effects.

Schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Brandon Cho to determine if Juvéderm® is right for you. He will discuss your specific goals and show you how you can obtain a smoother, youthful looking face. Please contact our office today at 614-766-2006 to schedule your consultation.
