Charles J. Hickey, M.D. F.A.C.S.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Charles Hickey, M.D. received his bachelor’s and medical school degree from the Ohio State University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Ohio State University Hospitals. Dr. Hickey had been in private practice for eighteen years prior to joining Columbus Ophthalmology Associates in November 2001. His specialties include small incision cataract surgery, treatment of diabetic retinopathy and retinal laser surgery.

Dr. Hickey has been very active in organized medicine. He currently sits on the American Medical Association Council on Constitution and Bylaws. He is on the Executive Committee for the Mount Carmel System’s Health Board. Dr. Hickey also serves on the Ohio State Medical Association Council in District 10. Dr. Hickey is the current President of the Ohio State Medical Association for 2011-2012.
