Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, Richard G. Orlando, M.D received his bachelor’s degree from Gannon University and his medical degree from the Ohio State University. He completed his residency in ophthalmology from The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus Ohio in 1983.
The founder of Columbus Ophthalmology in Dublin, Ohio in 1984, Dr. Orlando’s contributions to ophthalmic surgery have earned him the reputation of being a technological leader and innovator. His specialties include small incision cataract surgery, Crystalens Surgery™, ReSTOR® IOL, AcrySof ® Toric IOL and Laser Surgery. Dr. Orlando participates in many FDA clinical studies for numerous companies. He has authored numerous scientific and clinical articles, books, videos and is actively teaching and lecturing throughout Ohio.
