At Columbus Ophthalmology Associates, we value family. We love to hear about our patients’ families and see how they grow and change through the years. We also love to share when our COA family grows and changes. And we have a few new (and tiny!) additions to our COA family that we are over-the-moon excited to introduce to you!
Dr. Orlando welcomed his first grandchild on February 22, 2017. Little Samantha Rose stole Dr. Orlando’s heart at first sight and is the joy of his life. You can see it when he tells stories about how they hang out together watching ball games or in how his eyes light up when he talks about her. Dr. Orlando says, “She’s very laid back and alert, like her mother, my daughter Kristen.” Samantha Rose is named after Dr. Orlando’s father, Big Sam. So now, the Orlando family proudly has an adorable “Little Sam” as Big Sam’s namesake. As you can see in the photo below, distance can’t separate Big Sam from Little Sam. They often enjoy getting to know each other through FaceTime

On March 12th, Dr. Hickey welcomed his 4th grandbaby into the world. However, this one is special because it is his first granddaughter. Miss Anna Elaine is soaking up all of the attention and is quite the little Queen.
We have another, very new addition to the COA family that we would like to introduce you to. On Tuesday, April 11th, Dr. Litzinger and his wife welcomed their second baby, and first daughter, into the world. Jude Clark Litzinger was born at 6 lb. 3 oz and 19.5” long. A beautiful, healthy little girl, Dr. Litzinger and his new family of four are on Cloud 9. Mom and little Jude are doing wonderful and they are enjoying their time together at home with Dr. Litzinger and Jude’ big brother.
Congratulations to Dr. Orlando, Dr. Hickey, and Dr. Litzinger’s families on the new little angels in their families. We’re so proud to work with them and to see their families growing!
