Meet Dr. Jackson Carey

Dr. Jackson Carey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from West Virginia Wesleyan College, then went on to pursue his medical studies at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He has completed advanced clinical training in comprehensive vision care, advanced ocular care, specialty contact lenses, dry eye services, and eyewear manufacturing and repair.

Dr. Carey also completed his residency in Optometry here at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates. During this time, Dr. Carey performed comprehensive and problem-focused eye exams, provided routine and specialty contact lens fittings, co-managed pre-and post-operative patient care, helped spearhead the practice’s new dry eye clinic, conducted a multi-week learning camp called “Prism Camp,” and became proficient in performing all necessary special testing such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), Humphrey visual field examinations, Pentacam topographies, and more.

A devoted volunteer, Dr. Carey has given freely of his time as a tutor, wilderness experience leader, and organizer for donations of optometric equipment and supplies for less fortunate individuals. In his spare time, Dr. Carey is an avid golfer and tennis player.
