William B. Burns, O.D.



Get to Know Dr. Burns

Raised in Marysville, Ohio, Dr. William Burns joined Columbus Ophthalmology Associates in 2020. He has significant experience working with geriatric patients and in management of cataract patients.

After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, Dr. Burns completed a residency at the Chillicothe and Columbus Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, where he also served as the attending doctor for fourth-year optometry students during their externship.

He provides primary and medical eye care, participates in pre and post-operative appointments, fits contact lenses including specialty contacts, and is a clinical professor.

In his free time, Dr. Burns enjoys exercising, training in martial arts, and spending time with his family.
